Charming vintage style and character.
My arrival at the Hotel Continental Lima was disheartening. the door was locked when I got there at 10 PM, making me feel quite unsafe in the area. The room itself was not in good shape—it had a musky smell and felt unclean, which was very disappointing. During breakfast, the limited offerings ran out too quickly, and only one staff member was working, leading to an unorganized and frustrating experience.

The location is AMAZING! Just minutes from both historical sites and modern malls. I loved the breakfast too! 🍳 On the downside, the bathroom could use some updating.

The room was spacious, but the lighting in the bathroom was frustrating.

The location near the historic district made it easy to explore Lima. My room was spacious with a nice sitting area, providing comfort after a long day. The nearly king-size bed had good support. Staff were really helpful. one even showed me nearby dining options, which was a nice touch. However, the bathroom needed some updating—the lighting was frustratingly dim, making it difficult to see clearly. Breakfast could be improved. limited options focused on sandwiches and hard-boiled eggs. Not everything was super clean either, as I noticed a bit of dust in corners. The noise from the street could be disruptive at night, particularly on weekends, so bringing earplugs is a great idea.

During our stay with our grown children, we loved being just minutes away from the vibrant city center. The concierge was a highlight! They helped us arrange everything, from transportation to local attractions, making our trip smoother and more enjoyable.
My wife says that breakfast could use a wider variety.

Central location with helpful staff
The location is fantastic, just steps away from major sights like Plaza de Armas, which made our exploration of Lima super convenient. Our room was spacious with a nice sitting area, and it was clean and quiet—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The staff went out of their way to assist us, even offering suggestions for nearby food options and different services. However, the bathroom could use some updating to improve the overall experience.

The very central location made it easy to explore the city, and the spacious room featured a comfortable king-size bed and a nice sitting area. However, the bed was a bit too firm for my liking, and there was a slight damp feeling in the room. Breakfast options were quite limited, focusing mainly on ham sandwiches and hard-boiled eggs, but the staff was friendly and always willing to help, enhancing the overall experience.

Family with children great value
My daughter and I got a lovely big twin room with bath and shower after a long day , very convenient for soaking after doing the Inca Trail. The staff were fantastic , especially Brian who went out of his way to help us find food nearby and even offered to pick it up for us.
It wasn't exactly cheap , but still acceptable for what we received.
